Hiebl, Delores Ann (Marriage - 27 Oct. 1953)

Miss Delores Ann Hiebl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hiebl of the town of Johnson, and William J. Hackel, son of William A. Hackel of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony performed in St. Thomas Catholic church of Milan Tuesday morning at 9:30 o’clock. Rev. Jacob Burggraf read the nuptial high mass.

The bride was attired in a white satin gown. Rosepoint lace covered the bodice and nylon tulle over satin, with peplum of lace, fashioned the skirt. Seed pearls edged the Dutch style bonnet which secured the nylon net veil. She carried a cascade of roses.

Attending the bride were Marie Jesseau of Eau Claire, cousin of the bride, as maid of honor; Miss Naomi Hackel of Colby, the groom’s sister, as bridesmaid and Miss Mary Hiebl, sister of the bride, as junior bridesmaid. Miss Jesseau, gowned in yellow, and Miss Hackel in green, wore gowns of net over satin with satin boleros. The bride’s sister, Mary, wore a gown similar to that of the bride. All three attendants carried cascades of mums and pompons in varying shades of yellow and bronze.

Joseph Hackel of Milwaukee, brother of the groom, was best man and Anthony Hiebl, brother of the bride, was groomsman.

Folllowing a reception at the home of the bride’s parents in the afternoon, dinner and supper were served at St. Thomas church hall for 130 guests. In the evening, a dance was held at Dorchester, Wis.

The young couple will reside in Athens.
